FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: ship with device for repairing holes has embracing members 1 passing over perimeter of ship's hull cross section and devices for positive pressing of these members to ship's hull by means of drive mechanism; edge sealing members are also provided. Member 1 is made in form of rigid rim embracing the entire cross section of ship's hull. Member 1 consists of three parts 3,4 and 5 linked telescopically. These parts provide for pressing the ship's hull at considerable force adequate for flaring torn edges of holes of considerable height. Ship's hull is provided with outer groove 2 for receiving member 1 when not in use not to impair hydrodynamic characteristics of the ship. Devices for positive pressing of embracing member 1 to the ship's hull are made in form of clamping mechanisms, screw-type mechanisms in particular between telescopic parts 3,4 and 5 and grips connected with upper end of above-mentioned rim and equipped with drive control devices. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 4 dwg
