DEVICE FOR TEMPORARY SEALING OF FRACTURES IN STEEL RESERVOIRS FILLED WITH FLUID Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC B63B43/16 B65D88/02

Abstract RU 2481224 C1

FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of temporary repair of reservoir walls made of carbon (ferromagnetic) materials, particularly, steel tanks filled with oil, oil products, etc, kept at overpressure. Proposed device comprises stiff patch 1 with ledge 10 whereat secured is sealing element. Stiff plates 2 are secured along patch edges, each being furnished with mechanism for clamping patch 1 to repaired surface, mechanism to tear patch from said surface, and mechanism to lock patch in initial position of patch clamping mechanism. Stiff patch clamping mechanism consists of permanent magnet 12 secured in casing 13 rigidly coupled with rod 14 extending through hole in support of plate 2. Rod 14 is furnished with displacement stop and pin 16 coupled with "П"-like clamp by side openings 16. Aforesaid mechanism to tear patch off comprises threaded rod 19 and cylinder 20 secured art support of stiff plate 2. Threaded rod is coupled with "П"-like clamp to rotate its free end in central opening of said clamp 17. Aforesaid mechanism to lock patch in initial position of patch clamping mechanism is secured under support of stiff plate 2.

EFFECT: higher reliability.
