METHOD FOR PURIFICATION OF DRINKING WATER AGAINST STRONTIUM Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: purification of drinking water. SUBSTANCE: purification is carried out by filtration, column with clinophthillolyte as natural sorbent being used. Operating device has several modulus, each module has two filters and three tanks. Said filters operate alternately at sorption and regeneration regime. Mentioned above tanks are used for collecting of purified water, for collecting regenerate and for regenerating solution production. Sorption is carried out at filtration rate 7-8 m/h through layer of clinothilolyte having thickness 2 m till strontium concentration is 0.2-0.5 mg/l. Regeneration is carried out in reflux regime just after sorption, 0.5 N solution of NaCl being used. Calcium and strontium salts are removed of regenerate by precipitation, residual solution is fed for regeneration stage. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method. 2 cl, 3 tbl
