FIELD: conversion of ammonia. SUBSTANCE: method for conversion of ammonia includes passing of ammonia and oxygen-containing gas through gas-permeable distributing plate and platinoid catalytic element to which potential difference is applied equalling U(0.55-0.95) kV, where U is break-down voltage of gas space between element and plate. Gas distributing plate is connected to positive pole of current source and platinoid catalytic element, to negative pole. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 tbl
