FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: steel production method provides for slag-forming and ferryferous materials loading in lined furnace, oxygen feeding, ferryferous materials smelting, molten bath overheating to outlet temperature and following discharge. First, part of slag-forming materials is loaded. Then carbon-containing materials with low share of volatile substances are loaded over it, then - ferryferous materials are loaded. Preliminary reducing heating at least of part of ferryferous materials is exercised by oxygen burning at least partially of volatile substances and carbon from additionally fed in furnace carbon-containing materials with high concentration of volatile substances. Then part of ferryferous materials in central zone of furnace is fired and oxidized, the rest of slag-forming materials is fed in furnace and molten bath oxidizing heating and refining are exercised. Realization of the method allows to prevent scrap oxidation in process of smelting cycle. Feeding of hot products of burning in lower part of scrap forms conditions for its continuous heating, protects first portion of molten bath against cooling during its contact with more cool bottom of steel-smelting aggregate, that provides higher thermal efficiency of process, allows to decrease wear of fire-proof lining and to increase production of useful metal and productivity of process. EFFECT: method is used in metallurgy to produce steel from hard ferryferous charge (steel scrap, iron, porous iron) or in case melted ferryferous metal is being loaded as part of ferryferous material. 17 cl, 5 dwg
