FIELD: metallurgy of rare metals. SUBSTANCE: crude metal is distiled in crucible of refractory metal in vacuum of 10-4- 10-5 mm Hg at temperature of 1650-1850 C. Process is carried out with flowing of air into furnace chamber at rate of not in excess of 10 mcm Hg.1/s. Upon completion of distillation, crucible is cooled down to temperature of 1540-1570 C. Chamber is filled with inert gas, let stand for 5-20 s and evacuated. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
