FIELD: cleaning of heat-exchange apparatuses. SUBSTANCE: cross-piece 2 is installed in the housing of apparatus 1, and lashings of forged-welded chain 3 are secured on the cross-piece. Liquid nitrogen is supplied from a Dewar flask, its amount being enough for freezing of carbon deposit 5 on the housing internal surface and apparatus bottom. After freezing of carbon deposit cross-piece 2 is lifted up by lifting mechanism 6 to a low height, and carbon deposit 5 together with the chains frozen in it is separated. EFFECT: quick and safe removal of carbon deposits. 1 dwg
