FIELD: instruments for automatic detection of content of iron-containing alloys, in particular, in welding joints. SUBSTANCE: device has detector and secondary device. Detector is designed as float, which contains magnet, which is designed as rod. Iron ring is located at periphery of magnet. Float is located in pressurized housing, which is made from non- magnetic material. Coil, which is located outside of pressurized housing, interacts with iron ring and produces force which drives magnet from sample. Magnet, which is disconnected from sample closes contact, which is connected to secondary device, through housing, which is made from non-magnetic material. Secondary device detects current of magnet disconnection from sample. EFFECT: increased reliability of automatic detection of ferrite content in sample, increased field of application in industrial conditions. 2 cl, 3 dwg
