FIELD: testing of technical conditions in diesels. SUBSTANCE: method involves construction of reference model of diesel having at least eight dependencies of one parameter with respect to another while parameters are invariant to loading and linear with correlation factor +- (0.9-1). Diagnostic parameters are chosen from parameters of operation process or fuel feeding, while fault is detected by means of analysis of number and sign of deviations from reference model.
