FIELD: quantum electronics. SUBSTANCE: laser has cavity formed by blind 1 and output mirror 2. Cavity houses along its optical axis active element 3 and electrooptic modulator 4. Active element 3 is made of calcium niobium gallium garnet activated by erbium ions and sensitized ions. Modulator 4 has lithium niobate element whose ends are beveled at Brewster angle to optical axis for laser radiation wavelength. EFFECT: improved radiation power at wavelength about 2.7 mcm due to shaping of gigantic pulse. 3 dwg
