BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE PREPARATION FOR CALVES Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary. SUBSTANCE: preparation has, wt.-%: proteins 5.0-65.5; fatty acids 0.11-17.5; sugars 2-30; ascorbic acid 0.9-10; water 1-5, and salts - up to 100. Preparation is prepared by cultivation of virus- and/or nonvirus-induced lymphoid cells of cattle following by filtration. Then one part of filtrate is lyophilized, dissolved in buffer solution and added (1: 10) to the aerosol OT solution, then fatty acids 10-100 mcg and sugars 3-15 mg were added and mixed with 2-5-fold acetone solution. Prepared precipitate is dissolved in saline solution, mixed with the second filtrate part and lyophilized. Preparation with activity 10 000 U is administrated for prophylaxis (2-3 times by intranasal route or parenteral injection at the dose 1-4 ml), and for treatment with activity 1 000 000 U preparation is administrated 3-4 times at the dose 4 ml.
