FIELD: airship construction. SUBSTANCE: airship has gaseous envelope 1 consisting of inflatable beams 2 and separated into compartments by longitudinal partitions 33 and transverse partitions 4. Interior of inflatable beams 2 is connected with compartments of gaseous envelope by means of pneumatic drive 6 through inflation-deflation system. Inflation-deflation system has compressor 8 with drive 9 and pneumatic valve 10 which are mounted in inflation line, electric valve 11 fitted in deflation line and control system which includes the following components interconnected electrically: master controller 12, pneumatic regulator 13, mode selector 14, switch 15 of compressor drive and switch 16 of electric valve. Pneumatic regulator 13 is mechanically linked with pneumatic valve 10 and is mounted in parallel with the inflation line of inflatable beams; provision is made for venting the regulator into interior chamber of gaseous envelope 1. Master controller 12 is converter which converts ambient medium parameters into commands for control of pneumatic regulator 13 and electric valve 11. Mode of operation of master controller is set by means of mode selector 14.
