FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: wire forming transition from one layer of winding to another one is laid over arc of face part of winding. Device used for this purpose has base, sleeve 1 put on driving shaft 14 and two mechanisms gripping wire fitted with rests 3, 4 and mounted diametrically opposite on opposite ends of driving shaft. Sleeve is equipped with spring locator 26 which ball enters in turn recessions of drive gear. During transition from lower layer of winding to next one wire laying mechanism 18 is braked with stopping mechanism and wire is laid over face part of winding without growth of thickness of layers of winding already laid.
