FIELD: discharging lamps. SUBSTANCE: in addition electrodes of voltaic arc are connected through strip line to microwave capacitor resonator. When electric surge from high-voltage unit is discharged, voltaic arc closes output of strip line. High-frequency currents between electrodes are emitted. This results in generation of high-frequency cold plasma in inter-electrode space. This plasma emits visible light without heat dissipation. In addition device accumulates energy of high- frequency electromagnetic field in capacitor resonator of microwave oscillator in intervals between discharging surges.
