FIELD: hydraulic metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: filter has a vertical housing with inlet and outlet pipes for suspension, inlet and outlet pipes for pressurized gas, outlet pipe for filtrate. There are two horizontal grates in the housing to form a working chamber in which filtering material is placed. This material consists of loose filaments and granules of filtering material floating on suspension. In the process of filtering, granulated filtering material forms a protective layer to prevent filaments from being worn against the surface of the upper grate and to secure that the main filtering process be performed through the layer of filaments.
