FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of high temperature measuring elements in metallurgical processes. The sensor comprises a high-melting rod installed in a fire-resistant heat-insulating tube and configured to come into contact with the molten metal medium by the end thereof protruding from the tube and a thermocouple with electrodes located in said tube, wherein a socket is made at the other end of the high-melting rod wherein a junction of the thermocouple electrodes is located ensuring contact with the rod. Said tube is made comprised of two rigidly connected parts, one made of titanium wherein the end of said rod with a socket for accommodation of the junction of the thermocouple electrodes is located and a second one made of a non-thermally conductive material wherein the electrodes of the thermocouple are located.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows to increase operational life of the sensor and accuracy of temperature control.
