FIELD: optical and jewelry industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves thermal working of double magnesium and aluminium alkoxide at magnesium content 13.4-14.2 atom-%, aluminium 28.2-29.0 atom-%, in oxygen atmosphere at 600-800 C and hot pressing of prepared powder at 1250-1300 C under vacuum. EFFECT: improved method of spinel preparing.
