FIELD: manufacture of consumer goods. SUBSTANCE: device for manufacture of candles includes unit for formation of continuous candle stem, and cutting control unit. Unit for measuring length of wick has two wick guides with roller between them, measuring disk held down to roller with wick, e.g. , by means of spring. Mounted on measuring disk axle is cutting control disk. Wick length measuring unit has also posts for spools, preferably, with unit threads, and respective number of thread guides and thread tensioners. Cutting unit is made in form of scissors comprised of flat plates with concave cutting edges. Flat plates are pressed to each other by means of spring and having return springs and tie-rods, which connect movable part of electromagnet core. The latter has rod passing into hole of core fixed part with limiter at its end. Cutting unit is fastened for turning round horizontal axis under the action of candle stem during its cutting. Electromagnet control system is made in form of capacitor and system for its supply and switching of electromagnetic coil. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg
