FIELD: microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: strain of Bacillus Polymyxa bacteria is extracted from dark-gray cultivated soil on potato medium number 3. Strain is deposited in the All-Union Research Institute of Agricultural Microbiology under registration number VNIISKXM B-324 D in group of phosphorus mobilizing microorganisms. To produce bacterial preparation, strain is grown on potato medium number 3 at 28 C for five days. Sugar beet seeds are inoculated together with their sterilization by adifur insecticide , TMTD fungicide and insecticide sticker SMAN-20 at seed preparation plants at the rate of 20 ml of culture medium (titre is not less than 2 billion cells per ml) for 1 kg of seeds. Bacterization of sugar beet seeds with this strain increases provision of plants with phosphorus, stimulates their growth, reduces by many times morbidity of plantules due to root rot, increases yield of sugar beet by 8-17% and sugar content by 0.3-0.5%.
