FIELD: microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: strain of achromobacter album bacteria is separated from chernozem leached on glucose-asparagin medium in the labratory of soil microbiology of the Research Institute of Agricultural Microbiology, File No. VNIISKhM B-322 D in the group of phosphorus-mobilizing microorganisms. To produce the bacteria preparatio, the strain is grown for 48-72 h on glucose-asparagin medium in flasks on a circular shaker at 200-220 rpm and a temperature of 37 C. The seeds of sugar beet are bacterized concurrently with treating them with insecticide adiphur, TMGD fungicide and SMAS-20 adhesive at the rate of 20 ml of cultural medium (titer not under 2 bln cells per 1 ml) per 1 kg of seeds. Bacterization of sugar beet seeds with this strain promotes the supply of movable forms of phosphorus, raises the content of sugar in beet roots and cropping power by 0.5-1.0% and 8-24%, respectivelyq. Besides, germinating q power is increased, attack of shoots with root borer is decreased. EFFECT: higher sugar content and cropping power of sugar beet. 6 tbl
