FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: article 1 is fastened to platform 2 by means of weight-measuring supports 3 which may be regulated in height. Article 1 is attached additionally to the platform by means of constant-height supports 4. Vertical reactions F and heights h1 of each support 3 are measured. Then platform rotates by 180 deg about horizontal axis. Heights of supports 3 are changed till values of their vertical reactions are equal to values of vertical reactions F of the same supports before platform 2 begins to rotate, and height of supports 3 are measured. After that platform 2 returns to initial position. Heights h2 of supports 3 are regulated to provide the heights to be equal to arithmetical average of its values before h1 and after h2 rotation of platform 4 by 180 deg. After that vertical coordinates of control points 5 of surface of article 1 are measured. EFFECT: improved precision. 2 cl, 4 dwg
