FIELD: measurement of variable magnetic quantities. SUBSTANCE: device has open magnetic circuit closed by item under test, polarity-reversal winding, and two magnetic-field transducers whose centers are located between magnetic circuit poles and polarity-reversal winding. Magnetic-field transducers are made in the form of field-intensity meters; center of one of them is located in neutral plane of magnetic circuit and sensitivity axes of both transducers are perpendicular to mentioned plane. Device may be provided with field-intensity meter and magnetic-field transducers made in the form of magnetic comparators. EFFECT: simplified design, improved accuracy of determination of coercive force of ferromagnetic items due to reduced effect of varying doimensions of items under test, reduced gap between item and magnetic-circuit poles, susceptibility at back of item hysteresis loop and coercive force of magnetic circuit material. 3 cl, 9 dwg
