FIELD: radiation flux control. SUBSTANCE: for controlling radiation flux, optical element is placed on its path that has absorbed and additionally constituted water. Optical characteristics of optical element are measured while cooling down and/or heating optical element at temperatures ranging between hydrogen bond recovery temperature in adsorbed water and temperature below initial temperature of constituted water removal from optical element material. Optical element may be precooled and/or preheated. Then temperature variation will be higher than initial temperature in the range of hydrogen bond recovery temperature in adsorbed water to temperature at which constituted water is removed from optical element material. EFFECT: improved accuracy of control. 2 cl, 5 dwg
