FIELD: correction systems of space vehicles. SUBSTANCE: invention can also be used in plasma technology to determine position of jet relative to machined surface. Process provides for determination of force vector of accelerator with closed drift of electrons by geometrical characteristics of erosion zone. Plane passing through boundaries of sections with maximum and minimum values of erosion on outer wall of discharge chamber of accelerator in axial direction is assumed for plane in which side component of force vector is located. Direction of the latter and value of angle of its deviation from symmetry axis of discharge chamber of accelerator are judged by relation between geometrical dimensions of sections of outer wall of dicharge chamber with maximum and minimum value of erosion. EFFECT: reduced number of instruments used for testing, decreased time of test, improved precision of determination of force vector during life testing of accelerator. 5 cl, 2 dwg
