FIELD: space engineering. SUBSTANCE: accelerator has magnetic system which consists of magnetic poles 1, sources of magnetomotive force, and magnetic conductors 3. Radial discharging chamber 5, which is provided with dielectric walls 6, anode 7, and device 8 which serves for gas dispensing and has passageways 9 for injection of working gas, is received in space 4 between poles. Cathode-compensator 10 is mounted downstream of the outlet section of the discharging chamber. Additional discharging chamber 11 is arranged in space 12 of the additional magnetic system coaxially to the main system and consists of magnetic poles 13, magnetic conductors 14, and sources 15 of magnetomotive force. The magnetic conductor between two adjacent passageways is made up as unit member 16. The accelerator can be provided with a screen-compensator whose surface from the side of the discharging chamber is made of dielectric material. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 5 cl, 5 dwg
