FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: this method of pressure measurement includes initial orientation of nematic liquid crystal relative to direction of light propagation by positioning of optical axis of crystal at certain angle ϕo towards direction of light propagation, passing of light through layer of nematic liquid crystal, application of pressure to it and measurement of change of optical transparency of layer by which pressure is determined. Light is polarized additionally and before application of pressure to liquid crystal angle ϕ between light direction and optical axis of crystal is changed. Optimal value of angle v is found by formula v=ϕo± π/10. EFFECT: improved authenticity of pressure measurement. 2 dwg
