FIELD: electro-optics. SUBSTANCE: guide rod is formed by cylindrical rod 1 provided with fittings 2 for fixing and shock-proof action and elastic coating 3 mounted onto part of the rod to be fixed. Single longitudinal groove 4 at least is made onto side surface of the rod at its adjacent part. Elastic insertion 5 is mounted inside the groove. Side surface joining joint end is made in form of a cone to simplify joining and eliminate damages. EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation.
