FIELD: fodder production. SUBSTANCE: meat-and-bone feedstock is delivered into the charging hole of the casing, onto a rotary drum consisting of two discs 3 welded together. Secured in a staggered order on the external surface of the cutter drum are active cutters 7 whose working side is bevelled to form a conical surface. Active cutters are positioned in disc slots of cutter drum and are fixed with bolts 9. Discs 3 have diametral cutout pockets 12 whose outlet surface 13 is parallel with the disc diameter while the outlet surface 11, at an angle of 40 deg to disc radius. Slots 8 are arranged parallel with outlet sides of pockets. Feedstock lumps are delivered into grinding zone under gravity and drawing-in force of cutters. Here active cutters 7 cut off the meat chips. Active cutters penetrate into delivered feedstock, wedge it out, causing contact destructive stresses. Owing to the conical surface of the working side of active cutters the feedstock is cut by sliding motion. The cut-off chips are accumulated in pocket 12. Pockets are emptied immediately after the end of cutting. EFFECT: higher productivity and reliability of grinder and lower power consumption. 3 dwg
