The drum is composed of plates welded together and has active cutters 4 staggered on its outer surface with underlying cutout pockets. The outer surface of the plates is symmetric about the centroidal axis and formed by two radiuses of curvature ranging from 0 to 45° and from 45 to 90° with their size equaling R₁ = R - 3/4 (δ cos θ); R₂ = R₁ - 1/4 (δ cos θ). Their centers have coordinates corresponding to x₁= - 1/4 (δ cos θ); x₂= 1/4 (δ cos θ); y₁= - 1/4 (δ cos θ); y₂= - 1/4 (δ cos θ).
