METHOD TO MANUFACTURE BEARINGS OUTER RACES Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method to manufacture bearings outer races provides for billet preliminary turning on a lathe with chips removing. Used billet has rectangular cross-section and volume , that differs from volume of ready-made race by no more than 3 %. Method provides for billet cold-rolling to produce bearing race way. As a billet to manufacture bearing outer race simultaneously with canals for gasketing and race way they use billet with inner facets. In the beginning of rolling space between facets is chosen from condition of simultaneous facets surfaces contact with inner roller groove projections, that form canals, and contact of billet inner cylindrical surface with projection of inner roller groove, that forms race way. In the case, value of axial coordinate of facet is taken 2.1 - 2.5 fold as mush than value of maximum axial increment of billet per side during rolling. Besides, low-alloy structural steel is used as billet material and cold rolling is exercised in the open. EFFECT: method provides manufacture of bearings outer races simultaneously with canals for gasketing and race way by cold rolling in dimension range of 40 mm and less. 2 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl
