METHOD OF HEAT TREATMENT OF DISPERSED FLAKE-LIKE PARTICLES AND DEVICE FOR ITS FULFILLMENT Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: machinery protection from corrosion and abrasive wear. SUBSTANCE: particles are treated by heating to 600-950 C degrees and simultaneously blown with air, held in achieved temperature interval during 5-30 minutes and then cooled. Flakes heating speed level is maintained at 40-190 C degrees per minute. Heat treatment is realized in a device for treatment of dispersed flake-like particles. Device has vertical intermediate heat treatment furnace, muffle, heating unit, charging unit with a batcher. Muffle is constructed as two-walled rhombus-like box with 70-140 degrees angle at the top. Box has air channels and batcher-valve mounted in the lower part of a bin for regulating particles release from a bin. Charging bin has hinged lifting cover. Particles level detector mounted on a cover is connected with conveyer. Sensitive element of detector is a light loose hanging plate which may deviate from pouring flakes pressure. The plate is connected with a needle indicator. Hand tie mounted on a batcher-valve handle lets receive required $ gap between batcher-valve and muffle box. Balance weight mounted on a batcher-valve handle provides light movement of a batcher-valve. Heat-treatment furnace is provided with gas removing channels placed in the upper part of the furnace.
