SUBSTANCE: tailings dump filtering embankment has main body 1 made from barren rocks, antifiltering wall 2 made from sandy clay and extending along upstream slope of transfer zone 3 constructed from crushed stone. Waterway 4 is made in the form of portions of filtering strips uniformly distributed over upstream slope and extending in transverse direction. Filtering strips are not screened by wall 2. Total flow rate capacity of filtering strips corresponds to required water discharge rate of tailings dump. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
