METHOD OF TENSIONING FITTING WITH ANCHOR Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: construction. SUBSTANCE: method involves tensioning of fitting with anchor formed as swaged casing by seating casing onto fitting bar; mounting hydraulic jack; tensioning of fitting followed by swaging of casing, with washer and casing with inserts being preliminarily seated onto fitting bar prior to tensioning; tensioning fitting bar to design level; effectuating partial swaging of casing by compression force acting on end portion not exceeding 0.1-0.2 of casing length till it abuts against washer; relieving swaging force and providing transmission of fitting tensioning force to casing by directing compression longitudinal force onto casing end through hydraulic jack stem; effectuating final swaging of casing along its length and transmitting fitting tensioning force to anchor till inserts are extended and casing is compressed. Besides, final swaging of casing along its whole length is effectuated by moving hydraulic jack body relative to anchor mounted in design position. EFFECT: increased efficiency of method. 2 cl, 5 dwg
