FIELD: heat engineering. SUBSTANCE: intermediate chamber 2 is interposed between chambers 1 and 3 used for heat-transmitting and heat-absorbing fluids. Chambers 1 and 3 are separated by a pipe plate which serves as the bottom of chamber 2. Openings 9 and 10 for discharging steam to chamber 3 and draining the condensate from it are provided at the top part of chamber 2. A pipe with hydraulic gate is received in opening 10. Evaporating zones of the heat pipes ends of which are open in chamber 2 and has varying height are secured to the pipe plate. Wedge-shaped cuts are made at the open ends of the pipes. The sides of the pipes are provided with openings. The axis of the openings are inclined to the pipe plate at an acute angle. Horizontal heat exchanging pipes 15 are mounted inside chamber 1.
