FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: unit has a channel formed by the apron and abutments in the check dam. The channel has a hollow gate with three ballast openings. The apron has a niche to locate the gate in off position in it. The lower end of the gate from upstream is connected to niche bottom through a hinge located at niche wall of downstream. When the gate is on, it interacts with the apron from downstream side on the niche by anvil located upstream from the hinge. The first and the second cells are connected to the system of compressed air feed. Floatability and position of center of gravity are changed by compressed air feeding in the first and second cells or by pressure reducing, in so doing the gate becomes on, with resting anvil on the apron, or removed in the niche. EFFECT: increased reliability. 2 dwg
