FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: each rotor has mower-type knives installed from outside over circumference. Transportation drums are installed coaxially with rotors. Each drum has gripping members arranged over circumference above knives. To maintain relatively low cutting speed, knives are made with rise in form of cycloid, viewing opposite to direction of rotation, and transportation drums rotate at the same angular velocity as rotors. Knives have cover plate on end of cutting edge. Cover plate and gripping members of drums transport cut corn stalks in direction of rotation of knives and place them after commencement of movement onto hold-down found above so that stalk is pulled in, with its lower part forward.
