FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: this method prescribes consecutively applying electric pulses to fibular and tibial nerves in region of talocrural and knee articulations, recording responses of foot muscles, inserting electrodes, in the event of absence of or reduction in parameters of one of foot muscle responses, first into muscles of anterior and posterior shin surfaces and then into biceps muscle of femur, and diagnosing severe injury (above middle third of femur) to sciatic nerve given denervation potentials. EFFECT: more sophisticated technique.
