FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: essence of this method resides in carrying out intrapericardial ligation of openings of venae cavae and pulmonary arterial trunk, pumping blood, without artificial blood circulation from venae cavae into pulmonary artery, using extrapericardial shunt whose diameter is smaller than that of vena cava inferior and made of xenopericardial patch, suturing its side walls to anterior wall of right auricle in portion located between cavae, suturing lower edge of patch in the form of tube, anastomosing it to lower cava according to "end-to-side" pattern, transsecting opening of vena cava superior, anastomosing upper stump to upper edge of molded shunt, tightly suturing lower stump, transsecting right pulmonary artery, and then applying bidirectional anastomosis together with right pulmonary artery stump to vena cava superior. EFFECT: lower rate of post-operative complications and possibility of applying extracardial shunt for completely bypassing right cardiac sections with maintaining normal blood circulation and heart performance.
