FIELD: medicine; cardiosurgery. SUBSTANCE: patient's vena cava superior is dissected at distance 1 cm upstream of its junction point with right auricle, followed by practising shunts between dissected vena cava superior and right pulmonary artery using "end-to-side" technique in such manner that central axes of vessels to be distally anastomosed would form angle equal to 55-65 deg. Simultaneously, proximal and distal shunts are shifted one relative another at value equal to 0.5 diameter of proximal shunt. EFFECT: method makes it possible to achieve optimum values of dynamic parameters in blood circulation bed of vessel portion to be anastomosed during practising total cavapulmonal shunt.
