FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves irradiating peripheral sympathetic formations with low intensity pulsating radiation of an infrared laser causing regulating influence on arterial pressure control systems resulting in particular in alleviation of subjective symptoms, decreased arterial pressure, improved characteristics of cerebral hemodynamics. Laser radiation exposure is carried out in paravertebral application in the projection of cervical and upper thoracic divisions of sympathetic trunk within 9-13 min in single course of 8-9 sessions. EFFECT: simplified treatment procedure, stable hypotensive effect, no undesirable side effects. 2 cl, 1 tbl
