FIELD: bicycles; chain transmissions. SUBSTANCE: step change-speed control has housing with fitted-in spring-loaded member which has axle with speed-changing member and gear rack. Spring-loaded slider with tooth engages with gear rack. Device has also spring-loaded detent. Slider is installed on guides of turning lever and is furnished with flexible cable drive. The latter has lever which is force-returned to middle position and special device to adjust tension of cable. To increase accuracy of setting of speed-changing member relative to movable member, device has arrangement for adjusting position of axle of speed-changing member relative to movable member.
