FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method to process metallurgical raw materials includes loading charge comprising ore portion, flux and coal mixture into coke furnaces with temperature in working space being up to 1100 C, unloading resulted product, and feeding it into melting/recovering apparatus. Coke furnaces are heated with physical heat of gases exhausting from the melting/recovering apparatus, and coal mixture comprises exclusively dull and semi-dull noncoking coals. Coak furnaces may be heated by physical heat removed from liquid- bath furnaces. Device to implement the method for processing metallurgical raw materials has coak battery comprising coak furnaces being apart by heating partitions, sealed doors, loading hatches, mechanism to unload resulted product, and melting/recovering apparatus. The device is supplied with means providing transport of hot resulted product into the melting/recovering apparatus in inert environment, and gas pipelines equipped with units to clean the gas from slag dust and drops. The pipelines are connected to heating partitions of the coke furnaces, made in the form of a system of parallel independent vertical channels. Liquid- bath furnace may be used as melting/recovering apparatus. EFFECT: use of dull and semi-dull coal. 4 cl, 2 dwg
