FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely blast furnace charging by burden materials. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of layer-by-layer charging iron ore material and coke to blast furnace and charging solid fuel additive to predetermined zone of furnace mouth. In order to provide gas permeability of column of burden materials in melting zone and high efficiency operation of blast furnace coke is charged by layers whose height is equal to 0.1-0.8 of radius value of furnace mouth; solid fuel additive is charged to peripheral zone of mouth by width consisting 0.1-0.5 of mouth radius in quantity 0.5-45% of charged coke mass. Solid fuel additive is small-size coke, fractionized coal, coal or peat briquettes, peat-coal briquettes, lumped carbonaceous industrial waste materials, lumped mixtures of carbonaceous industrial waste materials, coal and(or) peat.
