FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: steel is designed for manufacture of reinforcement products of At-1YC, At-Y and At-YI classes. Steel containing carbon, silicon, manganese, calcium, titanium and iron has additionally arsenic and, at least, one element of group including nickel and vanadium with the following amount of components, mas. carbon 0.20-0.30; silicon 8-18; manganese 0.5-1.0; calcium 0.005-0.02; arsenic 0.005-0.03; nickel 0.01-0.1; titanium 0.005-0.03; vanadium 0.005-0.06, the balance, iron. Content of carbon, silicon and manganese corresponds to relation:carbon 820 +(silicon+ manganese) 140+370 ≥ 800. Total content of calcium, arsenic, titanium and vanadium is 0.02-0.08 mas. Application of thermochemically treated reinforcement from this steel precludes disintegration of rods caused by tempering hydrogen embrittlement. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 tbl
