FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking blood samples from patients to obtain leucocyte fraction and plasma enriched and impoverished in platelets. At the next step oxygen active form generation intensity is determined in leucocytes by means of chemiluminescence method and malono-dialdehyde-like products and antiperoxydizing activity of plasma in extinguishing the H2O2- induced chemiluminescence in plasma impoverished in platelets. The observed changes in leucocyte oxygen active form generation intensity are measured by applying chemiluminescence method after adding plasma impoverished in platelets and plasma enriched in platelets to calculate the value of diagnostic coefficient from a formula , where K is the prediction coefficient, A is the intensity of silicon dioxide-stimulated chemiluminescence per one leucocyte in pulses/s per leucocyte; B is the malono-dialdehyde-like products contents in plasma in mcM/l; C the ratio of the plasma chemiluminescence intensity in the presence and absence of hydrogen peroxide; T is the coefficient of inhibiting influence of platelets upon blood leucocyte oxygen active form generation; 880 is numerical coefficient. If K is equal to or greater than 2885, heavy course of disease is predicted. If the value is equal to or less than 2825, easy and moderate severity of the disease course is predicted.
