FIELD: treatment and burial of high-activity waste. SUBSTANCE: method involves selective extraction of alkaline and alkaline-earth elements by NaA or NaX zeolites using ion exchange procedure, drying, dehydration this being followed by hot molding of ion-containing zeolite until it is transferred to fieldspar phase. For immobilizing strontium, hot molding is conducted at temperature of 800-1000 atm for 1-3 h.
