OPHTHALMIC DEVICE Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2039520 C1

FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has laser and diffusely scattering screen mounted in series along the optic axis. The device has additionally introduced laser radiation dilator and mechanism for changing the angle of incidence of laser radiation falling on diffusely scattering screen mounted in series between the laser and diffusely scattering screen. The mechanism enables to determine the plane, where change in angle of incidence takes place in arbitrary meridian. The diffusely scattering screen is rigidly fixed. The device is usable for detecting ametropia in any meridional section of eye. When used in the device, the low power laser in combination with laser radiation dilator provides for creating compact devices usable for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy in selecting appropriate spectacle lenses; enhanced effectiveness in detecting ametropia. 2 dwg
