METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTION OF EYE PUPIL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2208377 C2

FIELD: ophthalmologic optics. SUBSTANCE: the method has additional operations consisting in creation of the plane or real image of the eye pupil and subsequent localization of this plane. The plane of the real image of the pupil is optically integrated with the detector, and the energy pattern in the plane of the rear image is detected using additionally two kinds or radiation: radiation scattered by the eye means and that mirror reflected from the cornea surface. Winking is detected and used. The pupil image is localized is space using the radiant flow mirror reflected by the front surface of the optical system producing the real image of the pupil. Localization of the plane of pupil image and detection of the energy pattern in this plane are not associated with the spectral band and time parameters. The device has an illuminating channel, radiation source in the form of a laser. The mirror is installed on the inner face of the prism-cube located in the optical axis of the illuminating and transmitting channels. An objective lens is provided in the transmitting channel. The detector is installed in the plane of image optically integrated with the plane of localization of the rear image of the pupil. In the illuminating of the rear image of the pupil. In the illuminating channel the laser may be installed for replacement by a laser with radiation with another spectral band. In the transmitting channel the objective lens has an internal focusing. EFFECT: expanded functional potentialities, simplified production of the final result, reduced power consumption and enhanced adaptability to manufacture. 5 cl, 4 dwg
