FIELD: petroleum chemistry. SUBSTANCE: hydrocarbon material boiling out within the range of gasoline boiling temperatures is subjected to successive contacting in reaction zones with catalyst based on ZSM-5 or ZSM-11 zeolite type including that modified by elements of groups 1.2.3.4 and 8. In so doing, subject to contacting in each next zone is light gasoline fraction of the preceding zone, and heavy gasoline fractions of zones are mixed with liquid products of contacting of the last zone. When use is made of material of gasoline fractions of secondary processes containing aromatic hydrocarbons, they are subjected to rectification. Subject to contacting is light gasoline fraction. Heavy fraction is mixed with liquid products of contacting of the last zone. Gaseous products are mixed, either, with initial material and/or with light gasoline fraction. Mixed with the latter may be pyrolytic gas liberated from pyrolysis products. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 cl, 2 dwg, 7 tbl
