FIELD: sugar production. SUBSTANCE: method involves defecation with milk of lime, preliminary saturation, basic saturation and filtration. Defecation is carried out up to alkalinity 1.0-1.3% CaO, and preliminary saturation is carried out up to solution alkalinity 0.8-1.1% CaO up to formation of soluble linear hydroxycalcium acidocarbonates. The basic saturation is carried out by two stages. Before the first stage the solution after preliminary saturation is mixed with nonfiltered refined solution at the ratio (1:2)-(1:3), and mixture saturation is carried out in direct-flow speed-flow apparatus type "pipe". The second stage of saturation is carried out up to pH 8.5-9.5 with recirculation of nonfiltered solution for mixing with solution after preliminary saturation before the first stage.
